The 4th annual CALIFORNIA MUSIC INDUSTRY SUMMIT, “The Ultimate Platform for all Genres of Music”, will take place this year from Thu. Jun 13th at 6:00pm – Sat. Jun 15th at 6:00pm at Laney College, located at 300 Fallon Street in Oakland, CA. The summit is sponsored by Music Connection, Comcast, SESAC, SonicBids, Reverb Nation, and Vivid Concepts.
CMIS is an intensive 3-day artist showcase and 2-day music business convention with panels, workshops, and exhibits. Independent artists from all backgrounds, genres and parts of the country will be given a chance to not only let their music and voices be heard but to take advantage of an amazing opportunity for music education and the chance to learn, network, grow and shine.

Attendees will have the opportunity to experience three days of artist showcases and two activity-filled days of music business panels, workshops and one-on-one mentoring, all lead by top experts in the music industry and exhibitors. At CMIS, you have the opportunity to meet and learn from music producers, music supervisors, managers, agents, promoters, talent buyers, publicists, publishers, studio engineers, radio station executives, attorneys, songwriters, recording artists, CD manufacturers, distributors, radio, record label representatives, and so many more.
As mentioned above, CMIS includes artist performance showcases too! This year’s performers include Canto, Acoustic Minds, G2,Kwanza Jones, Mr. P Chill, Trapdoor Social, and more. These showcases produce an electrifying and important platform for artists / bands. Performing at the CMIS annual conference and networking with other music groups, music industry professionals and music admirers in this unique conference setting can be essential to careers. Most of the showcases are open to the public. Showcases are usually 30 – 40 minute sets of original music. Registration to perform in a showcase is now closed.
