Marking their first U.S. live performances in over 10 years, 90’s alt-metal band COAL CHAMBER is pleased to announce that they are back in action and kicking off a co-headline tour with Sevendust this spring. The tour will also feature special guests Lacuna Coil as direct support on each date, as well as Candlelight Red and Stolen Babies opening on either half of the run (see the split below). See below for a full listing of North American tour dates.

Each member of COAL CHAMBER had words to share about the announcement.

“I’m STOKED to be bringing COAL CHAMBER back to the United States,” exclaims vocalist Dez Fafara. “These shows are going to fucking rule! The line-up is perfect! Hope to see you all there!”

“The past has fuelled the fire to bring COAL CHAMBER back stronger than ever,” adds drummer Mike Cox. “I couldn’t be more excited to tour the states on an amazing tour. HERE WE GO!”

“I’m really excited and grateful to be a part of such an awesome bill! We will be slaying it across America and the world,” adds guitarist Meegs Rascón.

Bassist Chela Rhea Harper states, “America is where COAL CHAMBER started; where the music first came to life.  The entire experience in Australia and South America has been so surreal up until this point, and to be able to continue this adventure on the band’s home soil is an honor. The support from all has been tremendous.”

The tour was named for TFK’s current Top 40 and climbing Active Rock hit, “War Of Change,” from its independently released, 5-star acclaimed and No. 1 selling Billboard Hard Rock album, The End Is Where We Begin.  TFK’s second Active Rock single from the new album, “War Of Change” not only hit No. 1 on SiriusXM Satellite Radio’s Octane Big-Uns Countdown, but also broke into the top 25 and climbing last week at CIMX (Windsor, Ontario), WJJO (Madison, WI), KAXR (Arkansas City, KS), WKRL (Syracuse, NY), WIIL (Kenosha, WI) and KCXX (Riverside, CA).  With KCXX reporting the song as its highest-testing current single, WXQR (Greenville, NC) program director, Tina Smash, exclaims, “I am going to add Thousand Foot Krutch into the ‘Lunar Category!’”

“War Of Change” is also featured on TFK’s first remix EP, Metamorphosiz: The End Remixes, Vol. 1, which released Dec. 4 as an exlusive to digital retailers.  The EP features 5 songs in all from The End Is Where We Begin by noted remix geniuses Steve Sidelnyk, Rob Persaud, Robbie Bronnimann, Andy Hunter and Solomon Olds.  Spending time at No. 1 on the iTunes Rock Album chart in its first week out, the EP further sparked ESPN2 to load up “War Of Change,” “We Are” and “Let the Sparks Fly” remix tracks for upcoming placements on its show “First Take,”which is seen Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. ET.

Continuing a string of sports entertainment song placements, The End Is Where We Begin album tracks have already been featured on ESPN (NASCAR, NCAA basketball), EA Sports NHL 2013 video game, WWE (“Over The Limit” pay per view event), L.A. Kings’ (NHL) playoff reel (http://ht.ly/aFciK) and as the NFL Tennessee Titans’ 2012-13“kickoff” song.

As the band prepares to release its next remix EP in early 2013, The End Is Where We Begin also continues double-digit sales percentage growth over the band’s previous best-selling album, Welcome to the MasqueradeReceiving over 1,700, 5-star average customer reviews on iTunes® alone for The End Is Where We BeginTFK has found that sometimes the best way to move forward is to go back to the basics, taking all of the raw energy and emotion of the past and channeling it into the present.

For those who’ve been following the Ontario, Canada-bred players since their formation in 1997, it’s been a continuously escalating highlight reel that includes best-selling albums, top Active Rock hits (including “War Of Change,” “Let The Sparks Fly,” “Fire It Up,” and “Move”), tours like last summer’s Third Annual Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, plus a slew of soundtrack slots. In fact, the group has literally infiltrated every facet of pop culture, from ongoing ESPN appearances, to various NASCAR, MLB, NHL, NCAA and NFL airings (including the 2010 Super Bowl), along with the “GI Joe” movie trailer, WGN-TV’s “Smallville” and EA Sports’ NHL 2010 and 2013 video games.

VANCOUVER, CANADA -Vancouver hard rock outfit, The Veer Union, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund its upcoming EP, ‘Life Support Part 1,’ which the band hopes to produce with help from its fans following a tumultuous few years. The band is offering several donation packages to assist in covering expenses for the forthcoming EP, due out early 2013. Fans can learn more about the Kickstarter campaign via a special video message from vocalist Crispin Earl on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=slsuMidh1NQ#. Head over to: http://kck.st/Sr5EKL to start donating today.

“The music industry is changing rapidly, but I personally think companies like Kickstarter are paving the way for real artists to have careers by closing the gap between bands and their fans, making it possible for careers to flourish and bands to continue doing what they love,” said Earl. “This is why The Veer Union needs your help NOW more than ever. We have started recording a brand new EP called ‘Life Support Part 1.’ This record is going to be the most special to me because it is a record made possible by the fans, for the fans, as you are our “LIFE SUPPORT” and could not do it without you. We can’t wait to see you all out on tour in 2013.”
