When I saw Great White Featuring Jack Russell I was super impressed with his band. These group of musicians were well seasoned and a tight functioning unit. They played the Great White songs we all know and love with new light, energy, and clarity. The stage presence they exuded was infectious and the crowd showed it. I have been fortunate to have gotten to speak with bassist Dario Seixas and now drummer Derrick Pontier. Enjoy this interview we recently did.
Several weeks prior to the NAMM show I had been talking to James Chen from Aria about this bass. We were fortunate to get an exclusive interview with Mr. Chen on the first day of NAMM:
I got the chance to hold the prototype bass and was rendered speechless at its awesomeness.
the Cliff Burton prototype bass
I was honored to meet the Executive Vice President of Aria, Toshi Matsumura as well. Mr. Matsumura was gracious and thanked us for stopping by. This was quite an honor to be thanked by such a man. All in all a fantastic experience. Thank you to Mr. Chen, Mr. Matsumura, Cliff Burton, Ray Burton, and NAMM 2013 for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Tragically we lost Cliff on 09/27/1986 but his legacy lives on through his music and people like his father and the fine folks at Aria guitars. Happy Birthday Cliff I will always remember and respect you.

Coming up on March 1st here in Albuquerque NM there is going to be a stellar alignment of Rock N’ Roll. Three of Rocks greatest newcomers will be playing a show like no other. Rusty Tramp, Scattered Hamlet, and Scars Blue!!!
Zero G and I are from the same mold, fans of old school punk/metal. We recently met up during NAMM weekend and it was like we had been friends for life. Check out this interview and you’ll see what I mean (oh yeah, gets funny at the end, but hey that’s Rock N’ Roll):
Great bunch of guys, I got to meet and hang out a bit with the guys from Death Alley Motor Cult during NAMM weekend. They put on a great set and I want to share this band with the world. Here’s an interview with drummer “Banker” :

U.S. tour with Corelia and I, Omega to commence this month
DALLAS, TX – Dallas heavy metal act Seeker has teamed up with Lambgoat.com to premiere the band’s new single “Alone” (feat. Corey Bennet of Bermuda). Stream “Alone” exclusively at:http://lambgoat.com/features/59/Seeker-Alone-song-premiere.
“‘Alone’ is fastest and most aggressively personal song that we have ever released,” said vocalist Bryce Lucien. “This is us finally becoming the band that we’ve always wanted to be and we couldn’t be more psyched that our good friend Corey from Bermuda got to be a part of this. His guest vocals sound absolutely crushing.”
Seeker is currently gearing up for a string of February U.S. tour-dates with headliner, Corelia, and I, Omega.
“We’re always excited to be on the road, and the fact that both bands are full of such outstanding musicians makes this tour even better,” said Lucien. “We’ve been working extremely hard to step up the insanity of our live show and we will be playing quite a bit of new material on this run, so we’re definitely ready to get back out in front of our old fans and hopefully make some new ones. See you on the road.”
Seeker burst onto the scene in late 2011, playing its first show on October 1, 2011 before heading out on its first tour the following week. Lucien describes the band’s sound as, “fast, aggressive, pissed off heavy metal. Everything we do is very raw, passionate and honest.”
Talking with Adam Joad about their forthcoming CD release, Skeleton Dixie. The conversation even went on to talk about other cool stuff. Give a listen and feel your inner “Hillbilly Harmony”
