DANKO JONES – frontman, spoken word artist, journalist, radio DJ/podcast producer and beyond – will head out next week with bandmates Atom Willard and John ‘JC’ Calabrese to take on the Soundwave Festival! The fest kicks off in Brisbane, Australia on Saturday, February 23rd and will tour through major Australian cities into the month of March. All dates are currently SOLD OUT. Till Death… shows the trials and tribulations of a boy as he tries to win the heart of the girl of his dreams (or nightmares). His misadventures hilariously lead him to torture, beatings, loss of vital internal organs, and worse…all in the name of love. Follow Ash Costello as she (literally) catches the eye and captures the heart of an innocent boy in love!

“Till Death… shows what it might be like to date a gothic matriarch, like Morticia, Elvira, Lily, etc. prior to them meeting their Gomez or Herman,” states photographer JEREMY SAFFER. “What would a boy would have to go through and endure to win her heart? We really tried to capture the comedic aspects of romantic goth culture and horror, giving the book a Addams/Tales From The Crypt style sense of humor.”

“Jeremy is such a doll to work with,” adds Ash Costello. “I can be kind of a pain, as most girls tend to be, but he always made me feel so comfortable and confident and really excited about what we were doing. His vibe during the entire process made me so excited to share this project with the world! I cannot wait to shoot more!”

VINCENT CASTIGLIA is known for his striking paintings that are created exclusively in his own human blood. VINCENT CASTIGLIA’s impressive work has seen many sides of the entertainment world, as well. MTV New Media’s Horror-Slasher Film, Savage County, featured his art as its official movie poster, depicting the three murderers in the film. Prior to the film, Vincent painted album art for heavy metal band Triptykon‘s 2010 debut release, Eparistera Daimones. Triptykon is founded by former Hellhammer / Celtic Frost singer and guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer.

     I have anxiously awaited this CD for a while now. Now that I’ve had the chance to listen to it several times, it was worth the wait. This CD restores my faith in good old-fashioned guitar driven Rock N’ Roll. With nods to their various influences the members of Scattered Hamlet infuse this CD with the sound that makes Scattered Hamlet  unique. This ain’t no pretty record, it’s loud, it’s dirty, and G-d bless it it’s ROCK N’ ROLL!!! These new songs coupled with their live performance makes Scattered Hamlet a band not miss when they invade a town near you. There is an outstanding guest on the track “Falling Off The Wagon” guitar great Randy “The Arsonist” Cooper. Randy’s guitar work in the track shows off his amazing playing skills. One of the earmarks for a great CD for me is that when I listen to it there is no need to skip tracks, there is no filler or throw away tracks on this. I cannot pick a favorite track because they are all worthy of that praise, I can, however, point out a couple of standout tracks: “Warning”, “Shelter”, “Powder Kegs and Gasoline”, and “Skeleton Dixie”. If you want a good time, feel good, driving down the road with the windows open, drinking beer with your buds, CD this is the one for 2013, look no further. Scattered Hamlet……HELL YES!!!! When I saw Great White Featuring Jack Russell I was super impressed with his band. These group of musicians were well seasoned and a tight functioning unit. They played the Great White songs we all know and love with new light, energy, and clarity. The stage presence they exuded was infectious and the crowd showed it. I have been fortunate to have gotten to speak with bassist Dario Seixas and now drummer Derrick Pontier. Enjoy this interview we recently did.

Several weeks prior to the NAMM show I had been talking to James Chen from Aria about this bass. We were fortunate to get an exclusive interview with Mr. Chen on the first day of NAMM:

I was honored to meet the Executive Vice President of Aria, Toshi Matsumura as well. Mr. Matsumura was gracious and thanked us for stopping by. This was quite an honor to be thanked by such a man.
